Victorian Socialists Campaign Promise to Save Preston Market

We hope they are more genuine in this promise than the current crop councilors who made the same promise at the last election but have failed to commit to saving the market in situ.

“Greenwashing” in Darebin, a cautionary tale

A cautionary tale for those who seek to buy apartments off the plan.

DADA is very concerned about the rise of development applications that include green and sustainable features that fail to appear in the final building.

This problem is, in part, is due to failure of oversight by Councillors. Variations and amendments to the approved designs are decided ‘in house’ in the planning department alone. They are usually approved automatically and buyers, if not diligent only discover the missing green features, if they are lucky, just before they hand over final payment.

The article below mentions developments heartily supported by Darebin Councillors for their green credentials.

DADA would like to hear from anyone who has been a victim of ‘greenwashing’.  Contact: Dada <darebinada@gmail.com>
